Beginner DIY Tool
1. Dewalt Miter Saw
This is my #1 Tool To Buy if you are a beginner woodworker or DIYer. The Dewalt Single Bevel Compound 12 inch Miter Saw is my choice. I prefer the Dewalt brand to get your foot in the door to cutting wood safely and the price won't break the bank. I know there are better an more expensive brands out there but I use this one daily.
Lets talk about safety. The Miter Saw is safe up to the point when you touch the blade. Which I recommend you not do unless the power is removed from tool. It comes with all the needed guards. Me nor my wife have ever been injured using a Miter Saw. We have also never had a kickback which is common when using a Circular Saw.
I recommend mounting it to a bench or table. This can be done with screws or nails. There are premade Miter Saw Tables you can purchase to attach your Miter Saw to. I like the idea of a table but personally I have never used one, we always used two saw horse and boards. Check out a Miter Table click the picture.

If you are a beginner and wanting to make that first purchase, the Miter Saw is a necessity. My wife uses ours daily and loves it. As always be safe in everything you do and Do not forget the PPE.
